Vision In White – White Colour Indian Outfits

White is easily one of the least loved colours when it comes to Indian fashion thanks to the superstitions and myths associated with the colour.

But if you ask us, we gotta tell you, we love white in Indian wear! White Indian outfits often look ethereal and so dream like!

We rounded up 5 white Indian outfit looks that the ladies from Bollywood pulled off beautifully!

Kareena Kapoor In A Floor Length Anarkali

She looks like royalty, doesn’t she? Loving the elegant white anarkali!

Anushka Sharma In White & Gold Lehenga

We love the fact that the choli is contemporary, almost like a crop top, and the lehenga and dupatta are traditionally ethnic. Gives an edge to the lehenga.

Pernia Qureshi During Jaanisaar Promotions

Pernia Qureshi recently made her debut with ‘Jaanisaar’ and we loved her looks while while she was on promotion duty! She was so on point with all trends! While the movie released last month, it’s never too late to look at some gorgeous Indian outfits, is it?

Let’s start with the florals – Floral floor length anarkali and floral lehenga.

She even gave us three sightings of lovely palazzo suits.

Nishka Lulla’s Wedding Wardrobe

Designer Nishka Lulla tied the knot a few days back and we’re taking a look at her wedding wardrobe.

For Mehendi, she chose a yellow lehenga, which, we’ll be honest, was not something we’d pick at the first glance given the difficult to carry off silhouette. But one glance at her and we were in love! And are those butterflies on her lehenga? Love it!

For the Sangeet, Nishka went with a super bling-ey blue lehenga that would make anyone feel like a princess!

Take a look at this video where her lehenga is glitterinnnnng!

And coming to the big day, Nishka wore a pink lehenga with a pop of blue.

But what took our breaths away was the second dupatta which flowed like a dream behind her when she walked in.

Karisma Kapoor Pushing Indian Fashion Boundaries

Let’s be honest, 90% of the times, Indian fusion clothes just don’t work. When it comes to Indian clothes, classic is often the route to go, in terms of silhouettes especially.

But Karisma Kapoor is an exception. She has given us several Indian looks which are unusual silhouettes and she carries them off super well.

We’re bringing you a few of these looks.

We start with one of the most recent look. A peplum style inspired kurta with patiala salwar. On most people, this look would have been a little too weird, but Karisma Kapoor really works this outfit.

Also, it was a smart move by the designer to keep the colours more neutral rather than using bright colours that we often associate with Indian fashion. It helps balance the outfit.

At another promotional event, the actress went with a patiala suit again, but this time with a slightly different silhouette for the salwaar with a high low kurta. The look is so well put together, especially with the top bun!

The next look is one that’s super hard to pull off, but the Kapoor lady looks super chic!

Karisma didn’t overlook the good ol’ anarkali either. Here she wears a classic floor length anarkali but mixes things up by adding a long, embroidered jacket.

When it comes to saree silhouettes, it was two looks that really stood out for us! The first one below is what she wore at Anamika Khanna’s recent show.

Karisma-Kapoor-Saree

And the second one was more of a lehenga saree, but she kept things interesting with an unusual drape which would have looked sloppy on most people, but obviously not her!

Here’s a major lesson we learnt: When it comes to down unusual silhouettes or styles while wearing Indian outfits, styling is really, really important and that’s what really takes each of these looks a notch higher!

Gauhar’s Anrkalis At ‘Oh Yaara Ainvayi Ainvayi Lut Gaya’s’ Promotions

Gauhar Khan recently starred in a Punjabi movie and gave us quite a few anarkali sightings. While the anarkalis were relatively simple, it’s the colours that caught our attention. Pastel and summer perfect!

Alia Bhatt’s Pretty Bridal Lehenga In Coca Cola Ad

When we first saw the ad, we REALLY wanted a full length image of the lehenga but couldn’t find one.

And then, a few days back, look what Anita Dongre shared! A full length picture of the bridal lehenga Alia wore from the ad!

Such a pretty, classic red bridal lehenga!

Deepika Padukone In Floral Sabyasachi Sarees For Piku Promotions

Deepika Padukone gave us two sightings of floral Sabyasachi sarees during ‘Piku’ promotions – both quite different from one another. While one had a more elegant feel to it, the other had a more happy and relaxed feel to it. We liked both!

Palazzo Suit Crushing!

And we’re back with another palazzo suit post. Seriously, how totally in demand are these?

We start off with 2 palazzo suits from a brand called Gopi Vaid. One is your classic palazzo suit (pink one) while the other one has an interesting and unusual kurta which we’re totally digging!

The unusual kurta actually reminded us of this super stunning and sober Anita Dongre palazzo suit.

If sober isn’t really your thing, you’re probably going to love these palazzo suits by Firozi. Such happy vibes!

And speaking of colours, here are 3 more palazzo suits we’re totally loving! By Aalna Boutique, Pooja Shroff & Reet Boutique respectively.

And we end this post with two palazzo suits by Amrita Thakur that really caught our eyes. Look at those chanderi palazzos!

PS: Over the last few posts, you may have noticed that we have started putting up our site name on the pics we curate. We’re only doing this to the collages we create. This is because many a times we’ve seen pictures we’ve so painstakingly created after lots of research being used on some other site without credit.

We’ve also seen a lot of stolen pictures being used by several clothing brands on the internet. If you are an upcoming designer, we understand you want to protect your work, and hence, we have decided that along with our name on the photo, we’ll be including the designer’s name also (in case it isn’t already there) so that their work is protected.

Just our small steps to ensure fewer pictures are copied and no one’s hard work goes to waste.

Vidya Balan In Super Chic Sarees At Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne 2015

Vidya Balan usually sticks to sarees on the more traditional side. But this time,we’re really impressed. She chose minimalist sarees and kept things simple.

We especially love the colour combination in the saree below.

Vidya did wear a saree that was tilted slightly towards the traditional side, but simplicity was a key here too and we loved it! Also, how perfect is this look for mother of the bride?

LFW ’15 Inspiration – Summer Wedding – Mehendi Outfits For Sister Of The Bride

From the bride, we’re moving to the sister or even the best friend of the bride. This is easily the best position to be in. You get to look amazing, wear some seriously good clothes, be behind the scenes as well as be a legit part of the party.

Now getting to the point, Mehendi is something where the sister/best friend should ideally opt to wear something that is easily manageable because chances are, they will be the ones in charge.

Our first pick is this gorgeous purple and lavender lehenga/gown from Manish Malhotra. It’s light, flowey, colourful and most definitely manageable.

If you are looking to be in a territory that is somewhere between modern and traditional, this Shruti Sancheti lehenga is on point.

If you do however want to play up the drama because “eff absolute comforts, such weddings don’t come again,” this suit from the Harper Bazaar’s show is perfect!

And for those wanting to keep things simple and chic, this patiala suit from “Not Like You” is quite perfect. We’re loving the laid back, yet well put together vibe.
