Vidya Balan In Super Chic Sarees At Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne 2015

Vidya Balan usually sticks to sarees on the more traditional side. But this time,we’re really impressed. She chose minimalist sarees and kept things simple.

We especially love the colour combination in the saree below.

Vidya did wear a saree that was tilted slightly towards the traditional side, but simplicity was a key here too and we loved it! Also, how perfect is this look for mother of the bride?

Pick Up The Prints

With summer almost here, most of the regular Indian wear takes a back seat. It’s almost impossible to wear those outfits with heavy fabrics and extensive embroideries during the season.

But when a big occasion comes around, you still need to step it up, and that is when prints come to the rescue. They take your look up a notch, whilst still keeping the whole outfit light and summer manage-able.

We bring you a few printed outfits we adore!

Spotted – A Gorgeous Pink-Red Saree

We came across this beautiful saree from Ochre Sky and instantly fell in love with it. Usually, it’s very hard to pull off a pink and red combo, but it’s done so well here!

So pretty! Also, notice how it’s a full sleeved blouse? Perfect saree for the winter wedding season!

Sonam Kapoor In Pink – Cannes 2014

Sonam Kapoor chose Anamika Khanna for one of her Cannes 2014 appearances. More than the structure, it’s the fabric that caught our eye. So whimsical and dreamy. Love it!

While she wore a saree (of sorts), the fabric would look good even when made into a lehenga or a suit.

Pink Saree Inspiration

Simple or heavy, pink sarees are like the LBDs of Indian wear. You know you can rely on them when everything else fails.

Madhuri Dixit wears her pink sarees with much grace.

Deepika and Kareena keep their pink sarees simple, but keep things balanced with gorgeous big borders. Shilpa and Mini on the other hand, keep things simple and pretty with simple pink sarees, with a thin silver border.

Sonam wears a super simple, super chic, ombre pink saree. She takes things up a notch by pairing it with heavy jewellery.

And finally, Aishwarya Design Studio shows us two variations of an elegant pink saree.
